Our research group at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur) focuses on the application of foresight techniques for achieving sustainability transitions in the Indian context. Sustainability transitions are complex and interdisciplinary challenges. We use integrated assessment frameworks that can guide individuals and policymakers for decision-making. We use tools such as scenario planning, system dynamics modeling and analysis, system-level optimization, life cycle assessment (LCA), techno-economic analysis, and multicriteria decision analysis. These tools are applied to emerging technologies and sustainability transitions.
